Our first HS is the always popular Alpha PEP66v2.I modified the fan shroud so the fan would sit ontop instead of the side.Alphas have long dominated the heatsink industry.Is that still the case? Lets see. Below are screen shots of the temps at full load and Idle.

When I first purchased these I was amazed at how well they cooled compared to coolers such as the famed Golden Orb.One thing about Alpha they make a quality product.No sharp edges or machining burrs left.Also you can see in the picture the contact surface is machined smooth.

One of the major complaints today about High end Heatsinks are their clips.The Clip alpha uses is fairly easy to install.I did notice that after installing and removing them several times the clip seems to bend easily.They could definately stand to improve the clip.Not a major issue but something that should be addressed.
