Globalwin CAK38

And finally we come to the only all Copper HS in our review the Globalwin CAK38.We have seen many all Copper heatsinks pop up lately. Some of them have proved to be nothing but a shiny piece of expensive metal.

First thing I notice when I took the CAK38s out of the box is the horrid mahine work!(Note: Im a Tool Maker/Machinist by trade)Now this may or may not effect the cooling ability.Tho I would never let a product out of my shop looking the way these HSs did.The fins are all different widths, internal burrs between the fins, and just an allaround poor machining job.Ok ok I know So how did they cool? Here are some screen shots at full load and Idle.

OK so they may not be pretty but they do get the job done.Thats what counts. Now I have heard many complain about the clip Globalwin uses as being a royal pain in the bum to get on.For me I found their clip to be very easy to install using a pair of needle nose pliers. The CAK38 was my first Globalwin product ever.Despite my problems with the machine work,There is not another thing I could complain about.

Positive: Shiny, pretty Copper,Easy to install clip,Gets the job done

Negative: Again PRICE!

Conclusion
